Smartphone control has been added to the famous BILSTEIN B16 Ridecontrol® suspension system. The damper adjustment can now be made by smartphone!

Switch between Comfort+ and Sport+ “fixed” modes
Comfort+ mode compensates for bumps in the road
The Sport+ mode offers superb vehicle dynamics and maximum performance
“Auto” mode with three additional settings Comfort, Normal and Sport
Each one in “Auto” can be custom tuned to the users individual demands

CUSTOMIZING IN AUTO MODE

The driver can adjust the sensitivity to vertical acceleration (up-and-down movement), horizontal acceleration (lateral acceleration) and longitudinal acceleration (gas and brake) through their iRC application.

Bilstein iRC module

Auto mode chooses the right adjustment for the suspension, depending on the driving conditions detected by the sensors in the control unit. The sensitivity of the module sensor can be adjusted by programming:

Filter properties
Tolerance angle
Acceleration threshold values
Switching times

Once perfectly tuned you can save your new custom profile.

Custom settings can be created, saved and shared with friends using the highly functional and user-friendly design.

PERSONAL ILLUMINATION

Now able to personalize the illumination setting of the Ridecontrol® dashboard button to reflect each of the three modes.

This app includes a graphic display that illustrates longitudinal and lateral acceleration along with the ability to precisely adjust acceleration thresholds, switching times and filter parameters when creating custom settings.
