BILSTEIN Equipped Teams Dominate the Podium at the Nürburgring 24 Hours Race

Poway, California (PRWEB) May 25, 2013

After one of the most dramatic 24-hour races to date at the famed Nürburgring race track, the five-time DTM champion Bernd Schneider and his teammates Sean Edwards, Jeroen Bleekemolen and Nicki Thiim steered their Mercedes-Benz SLS to victory, just two minutes and 39 seconds ahead of a hard charging BMW Sports Trophy team.

The Mercedes, part of the Black Falcon Racing Team, was equipped with BILSTEIN MDS adjustable shocks absorbers.

It was the first win for Mercedes-Benz at the 24 Hours Nürburgring since the series started in 1970.

Overall, five of the top ten teams were BILSTEIN-equipped…

Team G-Drive Racing by Phoenix in the Audi R8 LMS Ultra finished in fifth and ninth place while Team Phoenix Racing in another Audi R8 LMS Ultra crossed the line in eighth place. The BILSTEIN-sponsored Aston Martin Vantage GT3 ended up in the tenth position after leading the race from the second hour until the event was red flagged due to impossible weather conditions. Unfortunately, when the race was resumed, the Aston tapped the barriers, resulting in the tenth place finish. All three Audi R8s and the Aston Martin were equipped with the BILSTEIN MDS adjustable coilover monotube shocks with independent 10-way rebound and 10-way compression double adjustable shafts.
